#HYPER 212 EVO REVIEW FULL#
As you can see in the graph above the fans at full speed hit 32 dBs with a single fan. This not the case with the Hyper 212 EVO V2. If we have a open case design and the fans might be exposed, we don not want record setting noise coming from our cooler.

Noise can be a important factor for some. Only time will tell where this cooler will rank in future tests but I am pretty confidant it will compete with the best of them as the cooler manages to out do the Cooler Master 212 EVO V2! The 212 EVO V2 faired pretty well coming in at 51.25 and 49.25(with dual fans) degrees Celsius. Almost ambient temps!Īlright LOAD temps! The ones that really matter. This chip hovers at a cool 30.25 and 29.25(with dual fans) degrees Celsius. As you can see in the graph below we have the Idle temps for the 212 EVO V2. Now we get to the good stuff the results. *For this review I actually had a matching SickleFlow fan so of course I am going to use it!! CPU

Patented Continuous Direct Contact (CDC) technology ensures that the heat pipes are free of barriers while drawing heat away from the processor. The idle temperatures were recorded after 10 minutes of idle and max temperatures were recorded after a 5 minute torture test using Adia 64 System Stability Test and recording the Cores values. Unmatched performance for the value, these are the tenants that guided Cooler Master engineers when designing the Hyper 212 EVO. The cool and quite mode was disabled to prevent the CPU idling at lower voltages to attain accurate temperatures at idle. The thermal paste used was Noctua’s NT-H2 (for testing consistency). Ambient temperatures were kept at 24 degrees Celsius +/- 1 degree. Even with a single fan on, the NH-U12S Redux still performed better than the Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO. The system used for testing is listed in the table below. With two fans on, the NH-U12S Redux performed the same as the regular NH-U12S which only has one fan so the second fan in the Redux was able to lower the temperature by roughly two Celsius.
